For 119 years, Barcelona's home jersey has had blue and red stripes, some wide, some narrow, mostly vertical, once horizontal, but always stripes. For 119 years, a home jersey worn by historic teams that won 26 La Liga titles, 30 Copa del Reys, 5 Champions Leagues and more always had stripes. Throughout their careers, Blaugrana legends, from Segarra, Rife, and Cruyff to Romario, Xavi, Iniesta and, of course, Messi always wore stripes.
In 23/24, for the first time in history, the Barcelona Home Jersey, will not have stripes. Blue and red checkers cover the front and back panels, with solid blue on the shoulders and sleeves. Red and yellow from the Catalan flag are inserted into the v-neck. On the 40th anniversary of Barcelona's youth academy, La Masia, a commemorative image is printed inside the collar with "Mes Que Una Escola. 40 Anys". (More than a school. 40 Years.) The shape of the Barca crest is in yellow on the back collar.
